What are three chemical processes that can lead to the removal of ions from solution and thus drives a metathesis reaction? What would be an example of each?

OpenStudy (raspberryjam):

Ohh eff I hate metathesis reactions. Let's think about some things that can happen when ions combine together so they can be removed. Ions can escape in the form of water, so they can escape as either a gas or an aqueous layer orr....ions that combine together can form aggregates aka precipitate out of a solution.
