OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let f(x)= square root x, g(x)=cos x Find f(g(x)) and g(f(x))

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

\(f(x)=\sqrt x\) \(g(x)=cosx\) To find f(g(x)) what you have to do is u shud replace x in f(x) with g(x). Can u do that @xkat?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the answer cos square root of x?

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

hmm no. \(f(g(x))=\sqrt{cosx}\) getting it @xkat?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so then g(f(x)) is cos square root of x right?

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

exactly:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks ! I always get those switched up.

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

yw:) That's something likely to happen.:)
