Simplify the following expression. 2x - 2y + 5z - 2x - y + 3z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can "group" like terms together first... put all the x terms together, and so on. So there is a 2x at the beginning, and in the middle, there is a "-2x"... put them together like 2x - 2x Continue for the y and z terms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Once you've grouped them, then add or subtract the x terms from each other, the y terms from each other, and the z terms from each other. A simplified expression will end up with only one (or zero) of each of the x, y, and z terms.

This maybe the simplified version -3y+8z

What do you think, @Jj0510 ? Does that match what you get?
