please help me factor: 3x^5-4x^4-12x^3+16x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^2 (x-2)(x+2)(3x-4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thnx! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you tell me how you got here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First you factor out x^2 from that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then keep that x^2 aside

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that leaves us with 3x^3 -4x^2 -12x+16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you factor the rest

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh i got it i didn't know you could take out the x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah you could, but once you take that out, do not forget that! your welcome! :)
