copper (I) Oxide? not good with these
copper is +1 as it states in the name oxygen is always -2 the charges have to add up since theres no charge on the molecule.. can you figure it out?
i thought it was Cusubscript2O but it was wrong.-2+2=0 so i don't see why it's wrong, do you?

no it's right, unless it was copper (II) oxide and you didn't see the question correctly. double check that
is the problem that the question says to write the formula for the ionic compund? instead of balance the equation?
no, try your formatting, maybe the subscript function didn't work. This isn't balancing equations, only balancing charges in reference to their oxidation states.
