The mass and volume for molecular compounds and ionic compounds are different?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ionic compounds are held together by oppositely-charged ions that are attracted to each other. In non-ionic bonds, or covalent bonds, the molecule is held together by atoms sharing their electrons, and they are neutral.

Non-ionic bonds are molecular compounds??

OpenStudy (azureilai):

ionic compounds have a ions bonding to each other, but their net charge must be zero. And use either roman numerals or a suffix of -ide in naming. Molecular compounds are held by convalent bonds, and when assigning names, they use latin prefixes.
