If f(x) = (6x^2-7)(5x+6) Find f'(x).

hartnn (hartnn):

multiply them out first

OpenStudy (amorfide):

f(x) = (6x^2-7)(5x+6) first of all you would want to multiply the brackets = 30x^3+36x²-35x-42 now you can find f'(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so would it be 3x^29+2x^35-x^34?

OpenStudy (amorfide):

nooo, i take it you do not know how to differentiate.... okay so when you differentiate you want to multiply the coefficient of the unknown by the power of the unknown. once you do that, you subtract 1 of the power of the unknown you differentiated for example 3x²= 2 X 3x^2-1 = 6x
