3 to the 3rd is 27, add -1, or subtract 1 and you get 26

you see what happens is the problem would be set up like this 3^1/3 -1 so what you would do is type in your calculator 3 the little carrot symbol ^ and the fraction 1/3 then you would just subtract 1 so you would get 0.44
