that's the whole problem. What happens if the person comes up with a different answer other than the choices?
The best I can do is give you a in terms of either b, c or d.
I tried that but it doesn't work out for some reason.

i think you failed to notice there are only 3 unknowns here since they're all equal to a
jeez people are so touchy these days @sussycake there are more variables than equations here, so either there is a typo, one equation is missing, or the problem is posed incorrectly you can solve for one variable in terms of others, but you cannot assign a number to the variables
