(5x^ + 7x + 1) + (2x^ − 9x − 5)

OpenStudy (raden):

i think that is 5x^2 and 2x^2, right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

power of two

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes ur correct

OpenStudy (raden):

just find similar term and use addition

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i totally forgot how to do this. i know u suppose to factor them out. i just forgot the steps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and what goes into 5 to 7? cuz i got (5x^2+1)(x^2+1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which makes a 6 in the middle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean (5x+1)(x+1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

opps

OpenStudy (raden):

what is the original problem ? addition or multiplication ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the sum, difference or product it said on the top

OpenStudy (raden):

so, there are 3 problems ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no theres one answer and one equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which is like x^2+x+ number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for an example

OpenStudy (raden):

if u want do it by addition operation, so just make like this (5x^2 + 7x + 1) + (2x^ − 9x − 5) = (5x^2+2x^2) + (7x-9x) + (1-5) = 7x^2 - 2x - 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i see. thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you just add the common together

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now i remember. thanks alot

OpenStudy (raden):

yes

OpenStudy (raden):
