I'm just curious, what method do you use to solve these types of problems? Do you just figure something out based on the ratio of the sides? Or are you using the Law of Cosines or something like that perhaps? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

basically trying to figure it out by basing it on the ratio of the sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can use Law of Cosines to actually get the measures of those angles..... if you really wanted to...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is C correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes... do you know what a kind of triangle it is if it has lengths of 6,8,10 ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ummm.....not sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ever heard of a 3,4,5 triangle? it's just doubled.... 6, 8, 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\large 3^2+4^2=5^2 \) it satisfies pythagorean theorem so it's a right triangle.. the angle in question is a right angle...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in the other triangle with sides 7, 9 ,11, the angle between the 7 and 9 is larger than a right angle.... so you're correct....
