Identify whether the *starred* word is a predicate nominative or a predicate adjective. Wow! This sweater is quite *colorful*! PREDICATE ADJECTIVE or PREDICATE NOMINATIVE ***My answer: predicate adjective

OpenStudy (anonymous):

am i right??? cuz predicate adjectives describe the subject right?? the subject being the sweater??

hero (hero):

There are some fundamental differences between predicate adjective and predicate nominative. The predicate adjective is an ADJECTIVE the describes the subject but is placed in the predicate part of the sentence. The predicate nominative is an NAME or NOUN of the subject that is placed in the predicate part of the sentence.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh i think i get it :) cuz the adjective describes the subject right?? and the nominative calls the subject by another name.. am i correct? :)

hero (hero):
