Angle in another quadrant (radians)? If I have an arbitrary angle such as 5pi / 9 and it is in quadrant II how can I find it's equivalent in quadrant I, III, and IV?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

first quadrant = 0 to pi/2 2nd .. pi/2 to pi 3rd .. pi to 3pi/2 4th .. 3pi/2 to 2pi

i know the quadrants... I am looking for the equivalent value for 5pi / 9 in each quadrant. I need to know how to do it as well..

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

right:- angle in first quadrant = pi - 5pi/9 = 4pi/9 now use this value in first quadrant to find angles in 3rd and 4th. 3rd quadrant = pi + 4pi/9 4th = 2pi - 4pi/9

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

ok?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks. This is exactly what I was looking for!
