A least common multiple is something two numbers share, so, in one sense, every pair of numbers has the same lcm. As for the greatest common factor, I think my first sentence answers this part of the question as well.

i think the question is asking if you can have a pair of numbers with lcm=gcd. if this is what the question is asking, think of a simple case like 2, 3. the gcd is smaller than both numbers (in fact it should always be less than or equal to the numbers) whereas the lcm is greater or equal to the numbers. what would have to be true for lcm to equal gcd then?
