A restaurant chain’s owners are trying to decide if they want to open up a franchise in your town. To help them decide, they want to find out how often people in your town go out to eat. A researcher interviews people leaving a local restaurant. Is there a bias in this sampling method? Explain.

@Fellowroot would you please help me with this one also :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no there is not a bias sampling method

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yes there's a lot of bias because the people who eat there are most likely eating there because they can afford to go out to eat (which would paint the picture that many people go out to eat often) However, what about the people who can't afford to go out? They won't go out to eat often (or at all). They aren't being sampled and aren't being represented.
