What do you think about the first one? The problem on the left of the page... They give you an angle measured at 135 degrees, and the supplementary angle is angle #3. What is the measure of angle 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Depending on the theorems you know, you might also see that angle 1 is also 135 degrees (vertical angles are equal). Also, angles 3 and 2 are supplementary (same side interior angles). Another thing appears to be that angle 3 and angle 5 are supplementary, since they are alternate exterior angles.

45?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

angle 3 is 45... so angle 2 is 135. Then angles 4 and 6 are 45 degrees, leaving angle 5 to be 135 degrees. (your problem asks about angle 5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 135?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep

I think the correct proof for the 2nd problem is the first choice, but I am not always totally confident on proofs, and the correct order and the correct reasoning.
