I got the derivative of f(x)=((5+4x)^(1/2) is f'(x)=20(1-x^2)^19)(-2x). Can I combine (-2x) and 20?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I want to simplify to -40x(1-x^2)^19

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The derivative is (2)(5+4x)^(-1/2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hehe, I typed in the wrong thing for the 1st one >.< I ment f(x)=(1-x^2)^20 lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh! (20)(1-x^2)^(19)(-2x) You can combine 20&-2x to -40x(1-x^2)^(19)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, Just making sure. Thank uuuu :D
