Calc question - Find the area of the region between the curves

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (turingtest):

sometimes it's nice to draw a picture, but here I'd say it's not even necessary between x=-1 and x=2 what function is on the top and what is on the bottom?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know how to start this question? Start by determining the boundries

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just drew it on here and it wont post it -.- but the top function is y=9-x2 and the bottom is y=x+1

OpenStudy (turingtest):

and the bounds as @zordoloom asked?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your bounds are determined by the x value

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be -1 to sqrt5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

These boundries would be what you are integrating from.

OpenStudy (turingtest):

if you don't know the bounds maybe we should draw the picture after all...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me draw it again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You listed the bounds in your equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There are two equation and two bounds.
