How many license plates consisting of 3 letters followed by 4 digits are possible if an X or a Q must be the first letter?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So suppose I'm choosing two things. For the first thing, I have X number of options, and for the second thing I have Y number of options. The number of options I have to do BOTH things is X*Y. Example. I have 2 pairs of pants. I have 3 shirts. How many ways can I choose a pant-shirt combo? 2*3 Let's use that principle in this problem.

I'm choosing 3 letters, and I'm choosing 4 digits, which means I'm choosing 7 things overall. How many possibilities do I have for each of those choices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it be 13,520,000? 2(for the x & q) x 26 x26 x 10 x10 x 10x 10
