how do you convert volume to grams and moles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"Density = mass/volume (ρ=m/V). So V=m/ρ and has units (kilograms)/(kilograms per cubic meter)=cubic meter.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Volume x density / molecular mass = moles for the specific case of an ideal gas when you know pressure and temperature... PV=nRT n = PV / RT

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if the volume of Triethylaine is 11.2. it is possible to convert to grams and moles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, if you know the density [density data is available in substance bottle itself or some company data book] @Dodo1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am confused!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for every liquid substance there is a density, if you know the density and volume then you can calculate the mass (in grams), i dont know how you get confused, please say clearly your doubts- i will reply upto my best :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you. i got it!

great
