somebody anybody everybody help!!! Just four questions I need help with!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write the equation of the line that is parallel to the line y = 2x + 2 and passes through the point (5, 3).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 2x − 7 y = −1/2x − 2 y = 2x − 2 y = −1/2x − 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write the equation of the line that is perpendicular to the line y = x + 4 and passes through the point (−6, 3).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 3/2x − 1 y = 3/2x + 3 y = −2/3x − 1 y = −2/3x + 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write the equation of the line that is parallel to the line 4x − 3y = −12 and passes through the point (−3, 4).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 4/3x + 8 y = 4/3x + 3 y = −3/4x + 8 y = −3/4x + 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write the equation of the line that is perpendicular to the line 2x − 3y = 3 and passes through the point (−8, 2).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 2/3x − 10 y = 2/3x + 10 y = −3/2x − 10 y = −3/2x + 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answers to each prob is below it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks cryxz for helping out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please hurry though!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If SilenTempest can help out thatd be great!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think you need to use point slope formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the site doesnt really explain how to do it though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pointslope is just (y-y1)=slope(x-x1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whoever answers my questions ill post up a question telling everyone to fan and medal you!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y-y1=m(x-x1) Point-slope y-3=1(x--6) Plug in the the coordinates y-3=1x+6 Distribute the 1 into the parentheses y=-1x=9 Unsure about slope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

come on cryxz!!! YOU GOT THIS!!! <3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I feel like the answers are not correct.... Are you sure they are the correct possible solutions to the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write the equation of the line that is perpendicular to the line 2x − 3y = 3 and passes through the point (−8, 2). 2x-3y=3 -3y=-2x+3 y=2/3x-1 y-y1=m(x-x1) y-2=2/3(x--8) y-2=2/3x+5 and 1/3 y=2/3x+7 and 1/3 y=-3/2x +7 and 1/3 <- Info: Made the slope switch around to -3/2 so it's perpendicular

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4x-3y=-12 -3y=-4x-12 y=4/3x+4 y-y1=m(x-x1) y-4=4/3(x--3) y-4=4/3x+4 y=4/3x+8
