I just bought the exact copy of the book we received for my math class( I want to have 2 copies) The one from school is really beat up, but it's not going to fall apart anytime soon. (However, it's very possible that I will lose/drop/spill something on it) The one I bought is way nicer.
Which should I keep at home to use for homework, and which should I leave in my locker to use in class? (yes, I realize that this is an extremely odd question to ask) I'm also marginally worried that our teacher might conduct a random book-check (including the book's school code).

plus, if you bought it, keep the nice new one at home so you can take care of it better.  The reason the school books are beat up is that students don't own them.  As long as they turn the books back in and nothing falls off, the students are clear.  Spend your own $$, protect your property at home :)

XD ok. I was just a bit stressed. (Last year, I did the same thing, and my textbook had different questions from the school ones, and my teacher this year grades partially on whether your answers are correct on the hw. )

well, if the questions are different, then you're right... that could be a problem.  You might compare and see... if they are different, you are probably going to have to carry the school's book home daily.  You can always use your copy for reference, but it would be no fun to do all the hw and miss them because you did different problems.

Well, I'm going to try using my textbook at home. It should be the same edition, and if I do get any questions wrong because of the different problems, I'll explain it to my teacher (hopefully she will  understand)
