When is the statement "When today is Monday then 1 + 2 = 12" FALSE?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The above statement is equivalent to saying that "Today is monday implies 1 + 2 = 12". For an implication in the form P implies Q to be false, P must be true and Q must be false. Here, P is the statement "Today is monday" and Q is the statement "! + 2 = 12". "1+ 2 = 12", or Q, is false. So for the whole implication to be false we need "Today is monday", or P, to be true. Then P would be true and Q would be false. P is true when it is monday, so the whole implication is false when it is Monday. Something helpful to know is that the truth value of an implication P implies Q is the same as !P or Q Where the "!" means not, i.e "!P" has the opposite truth value of "P"
