First you plot the two points on the line, then you put in different value of "x" and see whether or not it holds true. If it does, then shade that "point" in, if not then leave it blank. The place that you put that point is the "section" you should shade in

find one random x value from each section and plug it in Or you can look at the equations and see where all x values are less than or greater than a certain point
