divide third equation by 2 you wil get x+z=2 now add 1 and this above equation this results in the following -y=-6 OR y=6 use this value of y in any of the above two equation you will have two equations in two variables ( i hope you can do that types of questions in). Let me know if you need more Help .

In general: 1) Pick your favorite equation and your favorite variable in that equation. Solve for that variable. 2) Pick one of the OTHER two equations and substitute into that equation for that variable. This gives you an equation with only 2 variables in it. Solve that equation for another variable. 3) Substitute into the third equation so that you only have 1 variable. Solve for that variable. 4) Use the variable you know to solve for the remaining 2 variables.

since y=6 put y=6 in the first two equations . x+z=2 -4x+24+5z=7 OR -4x+5z=-17 4x-5z=17 now solve the two equations x+z=2 4x-5z=17 solve first equation for z z=2-x put in second equation 4x-5(2-x)=17 4x-10+5x=17 x=27/9 x=3 put this in any equation y=6 and x=3 to get value of z.
