g(t)=t^3-t^2 h(t)=3t+2 Find (g+h)(-5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add the two functions together and then plug in -5 for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got the answer of -163

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as did I, is that incorrect according to your book?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am almost positive it is right, but i don't know because this is a worksheet assigned for homework. thanks and i got another one to see if you get the same thing if you would please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure, go for it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

h(x)= -2x g(x)= x^2-5 Find h(-6) - g(-6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got the answer -29

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get -19\[(-2(-6)) - ((-6)^2-5)\] remember that when you plug in -6 to x^2 that you have to square the negative sign too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay i see that now, i agree
