wolfram alpha error!? Is it just me or Wolfram Alpha chokes on deriving ln(x^2+y^2)

OpenStudy (precal):

might be how you input the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try it yourself, it doesn't seem to work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I tried it and it worked fine. If you want I can just show you how to do it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

derivative of ln(x^2+y^2) is supposed to give y'=2x/(x^2+y^2-2y)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The derivative of that function doesn't equal y'=2x/(x^2+y^2-2y). It's supposed to be y'=2x/(x^2+y^2)
