Please help! I'm uncertain as to how I would do this. Which is the equation for the line perpendicular to y = -5/3 x + 11 1/3 and containing P(-2, 3)? o y - 2 = -3/5 (x - 3) o y = -5/3 x + 4 1/3 o y = -3/5 x + 4 1/5 o y = 3/5 x + 4 1/5

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

for perpendicular lines, product of slopes = -1 // you'll have to use this simple thing in both the ques.. you are right in the first ques ans .. you should be able to do the second one also..

Okay, thank you. I'm rather confused on how I would carry out the second question..

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

what is the slope of the second line ?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

i mean the given line*
