58. Given A = {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9} and B={2,4,6,8}, what is A U B? *my answer* A U B = {1,2,3,4,5,6,8,10} 60. Let N= {x|x is a multiple of 2} and P = {x|x is a multiple of 6}. Describe the intersection of N and P.

in #58, why did you include 10? it is not in either set?

U means union, so AUB should be {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9}, 10 is not in any set so cant be 10, and 7 is in A so u should included it

N is a multiple of 2 then it means it contains all even numbers, and P multiple of 6 which r also all even number, but P is smaller which is contained in N, so the intersection should be P

yes, the intersection should be P, cause P is contained in N. every thing in P r even numbers, but all even numbers are included in N,so the intersection must be their common part, so answer is P
