I have this equation, plz help me figure out the x,y intercept, horizontal and vertical asymptotes and the tail approximations (3|x|+4x)/(x-6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find your vertical asymptote(s) you want to find the zero in your denominator. To find your horizontal asymptote(s) ask yourself the question what does the equation equal when x is very large positive and very large negative. This will show you what your number is approaching. Try 1000 and -1000.......you will see that the -6 is not much of a factor anymore.

i found out that my VA is 6, HA is 7 and 1 now i need to find x and y int

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find your y intercept(s) plug in x=0. To find your X intercept(s) let (3|x|+4x)/(x-6)=0. Do you know how to algebraically solve the absolute value in this function?

i think put the |X| = x and -x, multiply by 3 and do the normal math
