How do i find reference numbers on the unit circle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Depends what you mean by reference numbers. You can go around the unit circle and mark certain angles, like 30º 60º 45º 90º etc. and list the sine and cosine ratios for each.

its asking for the reference number for the value of t. t=5pi/4 @CliffSedge

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, I think you're referring to reference angles, which are acute angles in the first quadrant that have the same sine or cosine as the angle you're given.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how would i find the ref. angle to this? @CliffSedge

>:O UGH. i. do. not. get. this! so 7pi/3?|dw:1350960239692:dw| whars the ref angle? sorry. @CliffSedge

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7π/3 = 2π + π/3, so is the same as π/3 or 60º yes.
