Question 17 (Fill-In-The-Blank Worth 4 points) (8.01, 8.04 MC) The figure below shows two white quarter circles inside a rectangle. A rectangle having length 20 ft and width 10 ft has two white quarter circles inside it.The part between two quarter circular arcs is shaded. The radius of the quarter-circular arcs is 10 feet each. The area of the shaded portion is approximately _____square feet. Round the solution to the nearest whole number. Answer for Blank 1:
for every 5 questions u help me with ill give u a medal
the answer i have doesnt make sence with the problem
u figured out the circle part what u wanna do is figure out the whole rectangle the minus the circle parts and if u did the hole circle u would take half or it away since two quarter circles are there and after u find out what each quarter circle is u minus it from the rectangle do u understand now and could u figure it out now
yea i did do tht but then wht i got was tht the shaded peice was 2321 feet
ohhhh never mind i did my math wrong silly me lol
what i did was i did rea of a rectangle which is l*w to get 200 then i did the formulia for a areaof a circle which is pie*radius*radius to get 314 and since all they take away is half a circle i cut it in half to get 157 so then i did 200 minus 157 because 200 is the full rectangle and 157 is the total of the two quarter circles that was taken away and my answer i got was 43 am i right
yea thts right

The figure shows a pattern of a regular octagon and squares. A regular octagon with four squares on four of its sides is shown. An interior angle of the octagon is marked x Which of the following describes a method to find the measure of angle x? The side of the octagon extends to form the diagonal of the square. The sum of x and 45° is 360°. x = 360°- 45°. The interior angle of the octagon is 360° minus the interior angle of the square. x = 360° – 90°. Extend the side of the octagon to get the diagonal of the square. The exterior angle of the octagon is 90° ÷ 2 = 45°. x = 180°- 45°. The exterior angle of the octagon is the same as the interior angle of the square. x = 180°- 90°.

The figure below shows two polygons. Two polygons labeled Polygon A and Polygon B. Polygon A is a 5-sided figure with all sides of different lengths. Polygon B is a 6-sided figure with all sides of the same length and one angle measuring greater than 180 degrees. Sandy said that both the polygons are irregular concave polygons. Is Sandy correct? No, Polygon B is convex because all the interior angles measure less than 180 degrees. Yes, all the sides and interior angles of Polygon A do not measure the same and only one angle in Polygon B measures greater than 180 degrees. Yes, both have all sides that do not measure the same and one angle each that measures greater than 180 degrees. No, Polygon B is regular because all the sides of the polygon measure the same.

Theorem: The diagonals of a rectangle are congruent. Kim is writing the proof of the theorem using two properties of a rectangle as shown below. • The opposite sides of a rectangle are congruent and parallel. • Each angle of a rectangle is 90°. A rectangle ABCD with diagonals AC and BD. Using the two given properties, Kim can prove that triangle ADB is congruent to triangle BCA using the _________ Postulate.

Alex designed the model of a cylindrical water tank to be installed in a park. The model has a radius of 5 cm and a height of 11 cm. The dimensions of the actual water tanks that will be installed in the park are 9 times larger than the model. The total surface area of the actual water tanks, rounded to the nearest whole number, is _________ cm2
