do i just do the pythagorean therom?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use the Pythagorean theorem. \[a ^{2}+b ^{2}=c ^{2}\]Where a and b are the sides that make up the right angle, and c is the longest side.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 676 when i did the pythag theorem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So.. \[10^{2}+24^{2}=c ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you forgot to take the square root of that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i got 676 is that right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ohk thanks @etemplin

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 26!?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@etemplin

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks you guys!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[676=c^{2} \rightarrow \sqrt{676}=\sqrt{c ^{2}}=c\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):
