OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

@satellite73 Find the domain of definition and the range of function f(z) = 2z-5

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

is it all complex numbers for both?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

by the way, this is a complex variables course, so it's obviously either all real numbers for both if this were on a real plane, but since this is on a complex plane, is it just all complex numbers?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

btw that either should not be there. ^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why isn't it everything? after all you can solve \(z'=2z-5\) for \(z'\) right?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

So it's all complex and real numbers?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

since z is a complex number

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

well i guess u could call a real number a complex number with the imaginary part being 0.

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

z = a + bi <- a - real part, bi - imaginary part

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

ok so it's all numbers lol
