perform the indicated operations 30/110-3/11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 30 }{ 110 } - \frac{ 3 }{ 11 }\] look like that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the LCD do you know?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im tryning to figure it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could it possibly be 110? :P hint hint lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so the left fraction already has 110 as the denominator so we're fine on that side, what would we need to do to the right fraction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add a zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well yeah...but on the right side we would need to multiply 3/11 by 10/10 so it now looks like 30/110 - 30/110

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@gaara438125 Or you can reduce the left fraction. Same result. Just saying.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@micahwood50 why tell me what i already know, and not link her? XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, I'm just suggesting a better method, your seems a little bit harder.
