A cylindrical tube of uniform cross sectional area A is fitted with two air tight frictionless pistons. The pistons are connected to each other by metallic wire Which is just taut.Initially the pressure of the gas is Po & Temp To, atmospheric pressure is also Po. Now the Temp of the gas is increased to 2To. Tension in the wire will be (2PoA, PoA,PoA/2 or 4PoA)

the pressure is proportional to temperature, since volume is constant... so the pressure doubles. I'm not 100% sure of the set-up, since there's no diagram, but I'm guessing the pistons are acting like caps on the end of the tube and the wire runs through the length of the tube... if that's the case, what's the force on one piston?

I think it is PoA on each of the piston from outside and same from outside initially. But when the temp is doubled P will also be doubled i.e it is now 2PoA on each of the caps from inside against PoA from outside i.e |dw:1351524598669:dw| Am I correct?

yes u r right :)
