Does an object move when its under maximum static friction?
no as it start moving kinetic friction comes into play:)
No, It doesn't
so if it doesn't what would you give as the answer for the minimum force need to move the object?
the maximum static frictional force occurs when object starts moving...
F=u(kinetic friction)*N(normal reaction) if you decrease the normal reaction any how as u remains constant so force can be minimized:)
@gerryliyana he is asking for minimum force nt for minimum coefficient:)
F minimum = f static frictional max
Thank all of you. I was asking if say the maximum friction is 20N so how much force must be used to overcome friction(no without changing normal reaction)
do you mean maximum static friction? or kinetic friction??
if Force = maximum static friction, so object starts moving if Force > maximum static friction, so object is moving
ah thank you very much
ur welcome
