Find the magnitude & direction of the vector JK given points J(1,0) & K(-2,3).

there is a formula to get the magnitude and direction, do u know it ?
no
the formula to get the magnitude is same as that of distance formula, do u know the distance formula ?
Do you recall the distance formula? That is the magnitude portion of a vector.
no..are teacher popped this on us to see how much we know before we start the chapter
Pythagorean theorem, perhaps?
yeah
@Lunalovegood Look like all you know is "no" and "Yeah" :P At least, could you scan through the formula to find the magnitude formula as what your teacher expect you read something :)
@Lunalovegood... I tend to agree with @Chlorophyll... you don't really help yourself much if you act like you already understand how to do this before you learn the chapter. If you want to try to learn it in advance, here's something you can play with... try plotting those points, and look at the horizontal and vertical "sides" of the triangle that is created when you connect J and K as the hypotenuse, you can find the length of the hypotenuse... that is the vector's magnitude. You can then think about or read about ways in which you could solve for the angles.

Here we go, the power of formula! Then all you do is to plug and play :)
