i did 3*2z=z+6*4 i took away z from the right side and now im stuck with 3z=6*4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm.. \[\frac{ z+6 }{ 3 }=\frac{ 2z }{ y }\] Use cross multiplication; \[y(2+6)=3(2z)\] Division reverses multiplication; \[\frac{ y(z+6) }{ z+6 }=\frac{ 3(2z) }{ z+6 }\] \[y=\frac{ 6z }{ z+6 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

z = -4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh you've changed it to (z+6)/3 = 2z/y in which case z = -(6y)/(y-6)
