i dont understand

OpenStudy (amistre64):

in order to make a triangle, all the sides have to meet; the 2 sides given produce a range of other options

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the shortest range is simply 17-4 the longest range is 17+4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

13 ,21

OpenStudy (amistre64):

good, now see what values from the options are between 13 and 21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

18

OpenStudy (amistre64):

then 18 it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yw, and good luck

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In a triangle, the sum of any two sides of the triangle has to be greater than the third side so AB + CA > BC 4 + CA > 17 CA > 13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

From the given values only 18 is greater than 13, so that is the answer
