Celina wants to draw the exact square she saw in a workbook. The list below shows the tools she has. string, pencil, calculator, compass, straightedge, tape Which tools in the list are not required for Celina to draw the square? -compass, straightedge -compass, tape -string, compass, calculator, tape -string, calculator, tape

for exact constructions, you will need a compass and a straightedge. The compass will allow you to construct the correct angles, and in combination, the straightedge will allow you to draw lines connecting the points you find with the compass.

Is it string, calculator, tape?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sounds like you already sort of knew this one, right? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, it's just kind of a dumb question, even you have to admit to that lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Care to help with a few more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey, I didn't write it! :) If you know anything about constructions, then yeah, I'd say it isn't too tricky.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

True, could you help me with a few more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure... this isn't my best skill, but I will give it a try :)

Which statement best compares sketches and drawings? Sketches are basic pictures made freehand with a pencil and drawings are pictures made with the use of some tools to make them slightly accurate. Sketches are made using some tools and drawings are made freehand with a pencil. Sketches are basic pictures made with a pencil and drawings are accurate pictures made with geometric measuring tools. Sketches are exact replicas made with geometric measuring tools and drawings are the basic outline of a picture made without tools.

Here's the thing, I'm taking my geometry class in a class room at school, but I offered to do some of my friends online geometry class for her, but this is kind of just random stuff that I'm pretty sure my teacher just skipped over because it seemed pointless to him because this is only chapter 1 online, and im in ch. 5 at school

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sounds great... :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As you said, this isn't stuff you covered... I know they're trying to make a point, and the point is good, but this question is a little dumb.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You know how you understood that you needed a compass and straight edge to exactly copy something (last problem)? This is more of that idea... I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing a sketch is really rough, and a drawing is more accurate... but part of the point (probably) is that neither one is an exact construction.
