How do I say my name do I add an A or just normal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm pretty sure your name would stay the way it is so normal. But just to clarify, what's your name?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it is normal... for example, if ur name is BOB, you say, "mi llamo bob." :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If your name were Bob, you would say "Me llamo Bob." There's no "a" in there. So, I guess you'd say that's "normal."

@iheartfood I don't know if you meant to say "me," instead of "mi." "Mi" does mean "my" in Spanish, but "me llamo" doesn't literally mean "My name is." "Me llamo" literally means "I call myself." That's why we use the direct object pronoun, "me."

oh sorry! my bad... i looked at my notes and yes it's "me llamo bob." so sorry! so if u want to say "hi, my name is bob. nice to meet you." you say, "hola, me llamo bob. mucho gusto!" and i don't think u need to add an "a" after ur name anytime.. i think u just say ur name how it is. :)
