Are you dividing or adding?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

adding

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh boy, this one looks very complicated in the simplified form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would i solve it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@dpaInc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since this is not an equation, you do not solve it... as the question says, simplify... this usually means to add those two fractional expressions into one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would i do that since they have diff denominators?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to add fractions, both must have the least common denominator... can you tell me what it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be -11?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since they have to have the same denominator, multiply that first fraction by (x-11)/(x-11) and the second one by x/x:|dw:1352760807886:dw|
