SOLVE BY GRAPHING!! HELP PLEASE!! LOOK AT COMMENTS
-x+2y=10 3x+6y+11
i know the first steps: y=1/2x +5 y=-1/2x + 11/6 BUT HOW DO I GRAPH THIS?
firstly do you having a graphing calc? If you don't you can still to it by hand but if you just need to type it in it is much faster :) Now if you don't lets look at the +5 first start at the orgin, the go up five on the y axis, after that its all about rise over run. up 1 over 2 down 1 over two :) does that make sense?- Ginny ^_^
yes of course...but i dnt know how to graph y=-1/2x + 11/6
okay same thing with 11/6 that 1.83 so guesstimate the between the point 1 and 2 where that would be as for the negative instead of having a graph that is going between the 1 and 3 quad it would be going from the 2 to the forth. Hope this helps - Ginny :)
but how do i find the point that intercepts between both lines?
oh that's what you were looking for sorry :) well you graph both lines and find the point in the middle then you go down that amount and over using my graphing calc i got (-3.17, 3.42) hope this helps :)- Ginny
thanks i found the solution..you were a great help!!!
