write a list of potential rational zeros: f(x)=3x^2-x+9

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the find the factors of the constant term call them p \[\pm 1, \pm 3, \pm 9\] find the factors of the coefficient of x^2 call them q \[\pm 1, \pm 3\] the possible rational zeros will be p/q

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait... i dont get you.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well the rational zeros may be 1/1, -1/1, 1/-1 or -1/-1, or 1/3, -1/3, 1/-3 or -1/-3 as you can see ther double up so its 1, -1, -1/3 1/3 etc
