What was one success achieved by Granges? Railroads were placed under federal control. State laws limited transport and storage charges. They took ownership of grain elevators in some states. Banks extended credit to failing farms.
i think A idk
no it can't be a i got the question wrong when i submitted it but my teacher gave me a chance to retake i wrote down all the qeustions i got wrong with the wrong answer .
The Grange was organized in 1867 and led by Oliver H. Kelley. The Grange was for the most part successful. It enhanced the lives of isolated farmers through social, educational, and fraternal activities. It gradually raised farmers goals from individual self improvement to improvement of the farmers plight. It helped to regulate railroad fees and set up stores for farmers to sell goods in. However a number of granger laws were badly drawn and their influence faded
so would the answer be d ?
i guess
you guys are dumb af
@scarypanda101 ily
The answer would be B. Their whole purpose what to make things fair for farmers and not let the rich business owners have all the control with their monopolies. So they would go to Congress and plead their case, and eventually they made it a law that they could only charge so much for their services. You see because they owned everything they could charge whatever they wanted because they were the only people you could buy from which is why the farmers were so angry because they were essentially taken advantage of. I know this question is old but I figured I could help someone else with this same problem ^.^ If you read the lesson where this question is from (if whoever is reading this also an online student) it says so in one of the paragraphs, however unless your paying super duper attention it it can be easy to miss so dont feel bad, I had troubles finding it too :)
