When the cell duplicates chromosomes and separates into two separate nuclei, the cell is said to be in what phase?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its s phase,,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

interphase i believe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No S phase is only when the DNA is copied. When the nuclei actually split you would say it is in M (for mitosis) phase. M phase is split up into prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase (and finally cytokinesis). I can explain them, if you want?

its sooo confusing,, thank you.. and no i think i have them in my notes but they are in school!! i forgot everything there,, thank you again tho..
