How are you supposed to answer the question? You can graph it and have a look I suppose... Then see what symmetries exist, and justify to yourself why that's the case. Call the function x = g(y)=5y^2+6. (first of all, usually you'd say y is a function of x, but here, x is a function of y, so that's a little weird. But you can just rename them I guess...) Does -x = x for all x? Does g(y) = g(-y) for all y?
