You could also use polynomial division but synthetic is easier (less baggage in the calculation)

Yeah, that would be way easier. All is not lost, however. We can still just use the Remainder Theorem. First, we must establish that the remainder will look like this, \(\dfrac{Something}{x-3}\). Agreed?
