The problem says Graph y=log\[y=\log _{\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }}x \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y=3\log _{\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }}(x+4)-2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on the same axis. I cant figure out how the text book takes the point (1,0) and makes its (-3,-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How and I supposed to get (-3,-2)?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When I try plugging in 1 for x in the second equation and solving I get a random number like -4.7
